Registered thefts; region (classification 2013) 2005-2012

This table contains results on thefts recorded by the police. In addition to the absolute numbers of thefts, the number of thefts per 1000 inhabitants in the municipality or region in question is also included in the table. In addition, the table contains the number of thefts that have now been clarified and the number of suspects registered in the crimes. The figures are broken down by municipality of committing, police region, type of theft, use of force and year of reporting. It may happen that the municipality of committing within a region is not known. Unknown municipalities within the region are not listed separately, but are included in the total of the region. When looking at the data, a number of points are important. The data per municipality is presented for all years according to the municipal classification of 1 January 2013. If CBS considers that the figures per 1000 inhabitants do not allow a responsible conclusion when comparing municipalities or regions, the cell in question is left empty. The crime occurs too little and/or the municipality or region concerned is too small in terms of population for comparison. In the period 2008-2009, the police regions moved to the registration system Basic Provision Enforcement (BVH). This transition may give rise to unexpected fluctuations in the data during this period. Data available from 2005 to 2012. Status of the figures The figures for the years 2005-2010 are final. The figures for 2011 are further provisional. The figures for 2012 are provisional. As this table has been discontinued, the data for 2011 and 2012 will no longer be finalised.
