This table gives an overview of the changes in the percentage of people in the Netherlands from the age of 15 that counts as a certain ecclesiastical family. The following categories of religion will be distinguished until 2019: No church, total ecclesiastical family, Roman Catholic, Protestant Church in the Netherlands, Dutch Reformed, Reformed, Islam and other denominations. As of 2019, no distinction will be made between the different groups of Protestants. It also shows the percentage of people from 15 years of age going to a religious meeting. Ecclesiastical family and visit religious service are split according to different personal characteristics.

There has been a change in the question to establish religious involvement. The categories Protestant Church in the Netherlands, Dutch Reformed, and Reformed are no longer distinguished separately. A new category of Protestants has therefore been added in this table. The categories Protestant Church in the Netherlands, Dutch Reformed, and Reformed will not be supplemented as of 2019.
