This concerns: — expenditure incurred on behalf of the R & D with its own staff; — the own R & D staff, shown in numbers of working years. The data relate to: — companies; — institutions consisting of: * research institutions; * national services; * institutions of care and well-being; * other settings. — Higher education institutions consisting of: * publicly funded universities; * the University Medical Centers (UMCs) where the Medical Faculty (partially) of the associated university; * Higher Vocational Education (HBO). The reference date is 31 December. Data available from 2002 to 2009. Status of the figures: The figures in this table are final. Changes as of 17 January 2014 None, this table has been discontinued.
