Dataset description

This table provides information on young people residing in a youth judicial system. These facilities are intended for underage young people. In some cases, a higher age is also possible. Young people aged 18 and older are therefore included in the total inflow. This represents less than 5 % of young people each year. Until 2007, both young people with civil and criminal measures were living in a youth judicial system. As of 2008, only young people with criminal measures will be placed in a judicial establishment. Responsibility for the reception and treatment of young people with a civil law measure has been transferred by the Ministry of Security and Justice to the Ministry of Health Welfare and Sport (vws). For this table, this means that as of 2008, no data will be available on young people with a civil measure. No more percentages are presented. In order to show how young people in the Netherlands are doing, the National Youth Monitor describes more than 70 topics in addition to this topic. The topics are called indicators. Data available from 2000 to 2012 Status of the figures These are definitive figures. Changes as of 2 August 2019 None, this table has been discontinued Changes as of 30 April 2018 The underlying encodings of the classifications used in this table have been adjusted. These are now in line with the standard coding established by CBS. The structure and data of the table have not been modified. When are new figures coming? No longer applicable.
