Dataset description

‘Road Traffic Emission Factors 2004’ provides a set of emission factors (per vehicle-kilometre), applicable to statistics— year 2004. The emission factors are differentiated by year of construction. Fabrics: Co, VOC (by combustion only), NOx, PM10; to total, built-up areas, rural roads and motorways Sources: Total, passenger car-petrol, -diesel, -LPG, motorcycle, van, petrol, diesel, -LPG, truck-diesel, tractor-diesel and bus-diesel Construction years: Year of construction 1995 and older and from 1996 to 2004. Data available on: 2004 Frequency: annual replacement of figures with latest annual figures. Changes to the previous version: — In 2005 the emission calculations are based on the year of construction and fuel type differentiated distribution introduced of the number of vehicle-kilometres by road category of passenger cars. This has consequences in particular for NOx emissions (decrease) and It’s up for all the years. An important cause is the next: old petrol cars drive according to the new distribution more km within built-up areas (high VOC, low NOx) and less on the motorways (low VOC, high NOx). Especially due to the adapted mix of fuel types per year of construction and journey type are the (Year-) emission factors of passenger cars are not entirely comparable to the publication “Emission Factors Road Traffic 2003”.
