Dataset description

The safety experience has to do with how safe one feels. This does not always depend on how much crime or nuisance occurs somewhere. You can still feel unsafe in a neighborhood with few robberies, burglaries and other crimes and you can feel completely safe in a place where there is a lot of crime or nuisance. The datasets show the (un)safety experience in their own neighbourhood, in the place of residence and in general. A comparison is also made between different security regions or between Amsterdam and the Netherlands. For more figures on security experience, see also StatLine, the database of the CBS
