Dataset description

In this table you will find figures on savings (deposits) held by private individuals with banks. A distinction is made between deposits with notice period and deposits with agreed maturity. The figures from DNB are taken over by CBS one on one. A new series was launched in January 2001 as a result of a change in the composition of the banks subject to DNB reporting. A new series has started in January 2009. As of this date, the savings figures of DNB, compiled by a renewed raising method, will be taken over by CBS one on one, so that the published savings figures of both authorities no longer differ from each other. DNB reduced the series break as a result of the renewed raised method to November 2005 (see www.dnb.nl). Since June 2010, DNB has started a new series. From that date, DNB’s savings figures have undergone a reclassification by counter-sector. In addition, a sophisticated uplift and compilation methodology has been introduced. Data available from January 1991 to December 2017. Status of the figures: The figures in this table are final at first publication. If any changes occur, this is the result of the availability of new or updated data. Changes as of 22 February 2018: None, this table has been discontinued. The table is discontinued as a result of a redistribution of tasks between CBS and DNB. When will there be new figures: No longer applicable.
