Dataset description

The ship protocols dataset contains nearly 35,000 records of deeds with more than 200,000 person entries. These are deeds from the period 1511-1810: transports (transfers), pledges (mortgages), recognitions (recognition of property, debt, guarantee or power of attorney), wills and marriage conditions. The comprehensive index has been worked for many years by a group of volunteers. The data comes from the Digital Study Room of the Regional Archive Nijmegen and is modelled according to the A2A model. The dataset is offered via OAI-PMH harvesting.
