Solar heat; number of installations, collector surface and heat production

This table contains data on solar heat. This concerns the number of installations, the collector surface and the heat production. Solar heat is extracted for heating water. The main applications are; hot water for households with covered systems <= 6 m² (solar boilers) and heating up swimming pool water with uncovered systems. This means solar heat (with solar collectors) and not solar power (with solar panels). The basis for the figures is the collectors sold by importers and manufacturers during the reporting period. Data available from 1990. Status of the figures: This table provides final figures until 2020. Changes as of December 2021: Final figures 2020 have been added. When will there be new figures: Preliminary figures for the previous year appear in May. Further preliminary figures for the previous year appear in June. Final figures for the previous year will be published in December.
