Dataset description

This table contains figures on the number of installations, the installed power of solar panels and the production of solar power by these installations. The figures can be broken down by sector (businesses and homes). In addition, it is possible to split the installations and electricity generated by installation size. Sun on land is broken down by small (<= 15 kW) and large (> 15 kW) power. The large power can be further divided into solar power on roof and on land (field). Installations on inland waterways are counted as field installations, installations above a parking lot among the roof installations. The number of installations and the installed capacity can be broken down by municipality, province, country, RES region and subRES region (RES stands for Regional Energy Strategy). The production of solar power cannot be broken down by municipal level. In the case of production, subRES region is therefore the last regional scale. The position is displayed at the end date of each period displayed. For a whole year that is 31 December, and for figures up to Q2 (second quarter) that is June 30. The regional classification is based on the municipal classification of the year in question. Data available from: 2019 Amendments as of 31 May 2022: Preliminary figures for the whole year 2021 have been added. Figures for the year 2020 have not been adjusted and are still further provisional. Status of the figures: The 2019 data is final, the data for 2020 is further provisional and the data for 2021 are provisional. When are new figures coming? In mid-December 2022, the further provisional figures for 2021 and the provisional figures for the first two quarters of 2022 will be published.
