Students and students; type of education, from 1900

This table contains data per school/study year on numbers of pupils and students by type of education in government-funded education. Data available: from 1900. Status of the figures: The figures up to and including the school/study years 2020/“21 are final and those for the school/study year 2021/”22 are provisional. For higher education, the figures from 2015/'16 include theological universities and university of humanistics. Since 2016/'17 the Transnational University of Limburg has also been included. Changes as of 7 July 2022: The final figures for the school/study year 2020/“21 and the preliminary figures for the school/study year 2021/”22 have been added. When are new figures coming? In the third quarter of 2023, the final figures for the school/study year 2021/‘2022 and the preliminary figures for the school/study year 2022/’23 will be available.
