Subsidised legal aid; contacts Legal Loket 2004-2016

This table shows the number of contacts with the Legal Office to jurisdiction. Subsidised legal aid is provided in the first line by the Legal Office and in the second line by legal aid providers registered with the Legal Aid Council. The Legal Loket Foundation was founded in 2004. At this independent foundation, every citizen can obtain legal advice through different channels, without any conflict of interest. From the summer of 2006, all 30 locations will be open. The Legal Office is funded with a subsidy from the Council for Legal Assistance and the Ministry of Security and Justice. Since July 2011, right-seekers receive a discount on their own contribution if they first visit the Legal Office and are referred to a lawyer with their legal problem.
