Dataset description

This table contains data on all people arrested by the police as a suspect of crimes and who also appear in the Municipal Basic Administration (GBA). Suspects detained of whom the personal data are not included in the DPA in this table. let’s take a look at it. The table shows by population in absolute and relative figures how many suspects of crime occur. The relative figures give how many people per 1,000 people of the selected people are suspected of committing a crime. Population groups may be selected by origin, age group and gender. The suspects can also be distinguished. the type of crime they are suspected of. People who become suspected of multiple types of crimes, are in a separate category please mention it. The data relate to suspects and not convicts. It is estimated more than 90 % of the suspects receive a transaction offered by the Public Prosecutor’s Office (OM) or be found guilty at a later stage by the judge. The data on the suspects came from the Recognition Service Systems (HKS) of the Police. Data is available from 1999. Status of the figures: The figures up to 2009 are final. Figures for 2010 and 2011 it’s for now. The HKS is updated annually with new and improved data. For example, those who were found to be unjustly suspected got the HKS. In addition, registration delays are eliminated. To 2010 is expected to change slightly. The number of suspects in 2011 will be reality is higher than the number presented in the table. When new figures become available: This table was discontinued on 11-01-2013 and continued as Thoughts; gender, age, origin group and type of crime
