Dataset description

This table contains annual figures on the attachment of persons to the labour market in the special municipalities of Bonaire, Sint-Eustatius and Saba, or Caribbean Netherlands. The population aged 15 to 75 (excluding the institutional population) is divided into the working and non-active populations. The working population is further classified on the basis of whether they want to work more or not. The inactive population is further divided into the unemployed and the non-occupied population, with the latter being further classified on the basis of search and availability criteria. A breakdown by gender, age and educational level is available for the different classifications. Data available from: 2012 Status of the figures: The figures in this table are final. Changes as of 13 July 2021: The figures for 2020 have been added. Changes as of 26 April 2019: The figures for 2018 have been added. Due to a programming error, the figures wanting to work over more hours or do not want to work more hours in the previous version of this table were incorrect. Too few people were wrongly assigned to the group who would like to work more hours. This has been corrected in this version of the table. The figures on the highest attained level of education have been revised. The revision concerns people who have followed common academic years AVO. Where they have previously been awarded a secondary education level, they are now awarded a low level of education, following the classification used for the European Netherlands. When are new figures coming? The new figures will be available every two years.
