Dataset description

This table contains figures on the number of persons deceased by gender, age at 31 December and the position that the deceased person took in the household. Data available from: 2011 Status of the figures: The figures in this table are final. As of 2014, the observation of institutional households is mainly based on data from Zorgkaartnederland.nl and persons receiving AWBZ care with residence. Institutional households are better perceived by the new methodology. From 2014 onwards, asylum seekers residing in asylum-seekers centres and registered in the municipal population register were also classified among institutional households. Both factors lead to shifts between institutional and private households. See also paragraph 4. Changes as of 26 June 2020: Final figures for 2019 have been added. When are new figures coming? In the fourth quarter of 2022, the figures for 2020 and 2021 are shown in the table.
