Dataset description

This table was discontinued as of 20 April 2017. The reason for this is that a new table was published on 19 April 2017 based on the 2016 regional breakdown (see paragraph 3). In addition, information has been added within the new table about whether or not you are registered with the UWV-Working Company. The new table contains final figures for 2013 and 2014 and provisional figures for 2015. This table provides information on the regional labour market situation of young people aged 15 to 27 in the Netherlands. This indicates whether young people work or go to school and whether they receive a benefit. For young people in employment, a distinction is made between workers and the self-employed. The reporting period shall be the month of October of the reference year. Whether a person goes to school is determined on the basis of an enrolment in the education funded by the government on 1 October of the reference year. The municipalities are divided according to the situation on 1 January 2014. Data available from: 2005 The figures refer to the situation in the month of October of the year in question. Status of the figures: The figures for the years 2005 to 2012 in this table are final. The figures for 2013 are provisional. Changes as of 20 April 2017: Table has been discontinued. Compared to the 2013 regional breakdown table (see paragraph 3), 2011 figures have been adjusted from provisional to final and the final 2012 figures and provisional 2013 figures have been added. In this table, persons with income from other employment are included in the group of self-employed persons. In the previous publication, these persons were included in the group of employees. As a result, the figures for employees in this table are lower than the previously published figures and that the numbers of self-employed are on the contrary higher. In this table, the figures are rounded to 100s and not to dozens. The reason for this is that the figures on self-employed are not accurate enough to be able to round off to dozens. For example, it is known to the self-employed whether they have worked as a self-employed person in a given year. In doing so, it is assumed that this situation applies throughout the year and that the income is equally distributed. In addition, some of the self-employed data is estimated, as the tax data of these persons will become available later. When are new figures coming? Table has been discontinued. Newer years figures are included in the Labour market situation table for young people (15 to 27 years); region 2016, see paragraph 3.
