Dataset description

This table provides data on the number of lorries and tractors (trucks) in use in the name of companies, traffic performance (kilometres) of these vehicles and average annual mileages. These figures are divided by industry (SBI 2008), age, payload and environmental class of the vehicle and size of the company. The figures refer to freight vehicles with a valid Dutch registration number that have been admitted to traffic on public roads during (part of) the reporting year, including: — goods vehicles belonging to the company stock in (part of) the year. — goods vehicles operating on the road network only for part of the year, such as new or imported vehicles and vehicles demolished or exported during the year. The calculated numbers are higher than the number of registered (active) lorries and tractors at reference date 1 January, as published in the tables on the motor vehicle fleet. Goods vehicles in use are all (freight) vehicles that may have been on the road for a year. The (freight) vehicle park shows only the number of valid registrations on 1 January. This is therefore lower. Data available from 2009 to 2011. Status of the figures: Data from 2009 to 2011 are provisional. As this table has been discontinued, the data will no longer be definitive. Changes as of 19 October 2016 None, this table has been discontinued. When are new figures coming? No longer applicable. Is there a successor? This table is followed by Traffic performance freight vehicles; miles, industries. See paragraph 3.
