Dataset description

This table deals with the unemployment duration of the unemployed. A distinction is made between the unemployed who are unemployed; — 0 to 6 months, — 6 to 12 months, — 12 to 24 months, — 24 months or more unemployed. This makes it possible to determine the number of short-term and long-term unemployed. Short-term unemployed are 0 to 12 months unemployed and long-term unemployed 12 months or more unemployed. The figures in the table can be distinguished by country and province. The duration of unemployment is the number of months a person is unemployed. This is determined on the basis of: — the moment of search for work and — the moment of termination of the last job. The figures in the table are based on the Occupational Population Survey (EBB). Data available from 2001 to 2014 Status of the figures The figures in this table are final. Changes as of 3 April 2015: None, this table has been discontinued. Changes as of 13 February 2015: The 2014 figures have been added. When are new figures coming? This table has been discontinued. The update of 13 February 2015 was the last update of this table. New revised tables on the labour force were published on 26 February 2015. This revision of the statistics of the labour force has two parts. The definitions have been adapted to the internationally agreed definitions and data collection has been improved by being the first statistical office in Europe to survey via the Internet.
