Dataset description

If a vehicle is registered for the first time in an EU Member State (including in the Netherlands), it must have a European type-approval. The RDW gives it off. Even if a vehicle has no or partial type-approval, it may be tested and type-approved by the RDW for road approval. Components (components or separate technical units) are also type-approved by the RDW. With this approval, the data is recorded in a register, which is now also made available as Open Data for re-use.
