Dataset description

This table contains figures on the victimisation of traditional crime in the 12 months preceding the investigation. These are crimes such as violence, property crimes and destruction. Target population are residents of the Netherlands aged 15 years and older in private households. The data can be broken down by region, such as province, municipality and police region. Due to changes in the questions and in the research design, the results of the 2021 Safety Monitor cannot be easily compared with those of previous editions. For more information, see the study description “Security Monitor from 2012” in paragraph 4. Data available from: 2021 Status of the figures: The figures in this table are final. Amendments as of 16 December 2022: None, this is a new table. When are new figures coming? New data will be published every two years around March 1st.
