Dataset description

The table contains quarterly figures on the number of active waiters (shorter and longer than the Treeknorm) and non-active waiting for long-term care under the Long-term Care Act (Wlz) with and without bridging care. The figures are measured quarterly on the first day of January, April, July and October and are available for the nursing and care sectors, disabled care and mental health care. The figures refer to care in kind, not care paid from personal budgets. The figures in this table come from the Wlz (information standard Long-term care Act or iWlz) supplied by healthcare offices to the Zorginstituut Nederland (ZiNL). Due to the introduction of the new release of messaging (iWlz 2.0), no data on active waiters (shorter than Treeknorm) with reference date 1 April 2018 were included, and the figures on active (shorter and longer than Treeknorm) and non-active waiters with reference date 1 July 2018. Due to new connections to administrations, waiting list figures on 1 October can deviate from the figures with reference date 1 April 2018. The figures broken down by self-employed persons cover only inpatient care until April 2018 and from April 2018 to both inpatient and outpatient care. By classifying by sector based on the self-employed rather than the primary base of the client, for the active waiters less than the Treeknorm for the 3 rd and 4th quarter 2016, Q4 2018 and 3 rd quarter 2019 the sum of the figures on self-employed persons per healthcare sector deviates from the totals per healthcare sector from the table. Data available from 2015 to Q1 2021 Status of the figures: The quarterly figures for the most recent reporting year are provisional. The other quarterly figures are final. Since the table has been discontinued, the data will no longer be finalised. Amendment as of 5 October 2021: This table has been discontinued and has been followed up by the new table "Long-term care guards; sector, quarter" (see paragraph 3). Changes as of 2 March 2021: — Provisional figures at reference date 1 January 2021 have been added. — The provisional figures for 2020 have been finalised unchanged. — The selection “Care sector” has been retroactively broken down by health care package. The name has therefore been changed from “Care sector” to “Care of Gravity Package”. Changes as of 16 December 2020: Quarterly figures were added in May 2020 for active waiters shorter than the Treeknorm with a different reference date (1 February, 1 May, 1 August and 1 November). This has been corrected for these figures and the above total figures, so that all the figures in the table have the correct reference date (1 January, 1 April, 1 July and 1 October). When are new figures coming? No longer applicable.
