Well-being in relation to health and lifestyle; characteristics of Health

The survey was conducted among persons aged 15 years or older, the figures on well-being relate to the population of the Netherlands aged 18 years or older. This table therefore contains figures on the well-being of the population of the Netherlands aged 18 years or older in terms of happiness and satisfaction with life, with physical health, mental health and weight. These topics are broken down by various characteristics of health and lifestyle, namely the experienced health, experienced hindrance, weight, sports frequency, smoking and alcohol consumption. Data available from: 2013 Status of the figures: The figures in this table are final. Changes as of 1 June 2022: The 2021 annual figures have been added. Previous changes: —The underlying coding of the classification (digit type) used in this table has been adjusted. These are now in line with the standard coding established by CBS. — The figures on smoking for 2013 to 2016 have been corrected: the figures associated with ‘no smoking’ were mistaken for ‘well smoking’ and vice versa and are therefore reversed. When are new figures coming? Figures for reporting year 2022 are published in mid-2023.
