Dataset description

This table contains figures on the well-being of the Dutch adult population, in terms of satisfaction, trust and participation. The figures are based on Social Cohesion & Welfare (SSW). Until recently, the CBS published only annual figures from the Social Cohesion and Welfare research. Quarterly figures have been made since 2020 based on time series models that correct the figures for changes in the observation (Bollineni-Balabay et al., 2017; Boonstra and Van den Brakel, 2018). This was necessary because of the coronavirus measures, personal interviews could not (partially) continue in select periods in 2020 and 2021. For example, the figures for the second quarter of 2020 are based on internet only and telephone observation. As a result, the figures without correction were not simply comparable to the first quarter of 2020 and with previous years. There are also periods in which personal interviews could not take place in 2021. The figures up to the 3 rd quarter 2020 have previously appeared in a tailor-made table. Some figures in this statline table have changed slightly from the previous publication. This is due to the addition of new information (a new quarter) to the underlying time series model. Data available from: Q1 2020 Status of the figures: The figures in this table are definitive. Changes as at 31 March 2022: The figures for Q4 2021 have been added. Status of the figures: The figures in this table are definitive. When will there be new figures? Whether and when new figures are available is not yet known.
