Wood singels monitoring landscape

This file contains wood strings that are part of the measuring net wood singels. These woods are monitored every four years. The status of the wood singels is determined by aerial comparison. The aim is to gain insight into, among other things, the effectiveness of the policy to preserve wood singels.In Westerwolde, the Gorecht and in the landscape of the Southern Westerkwartier there are wood slings and wood walls. They contribute to the variety and contrast between the open and enclosed areas and thus to the diversity of the landscape. They are line-shaped plants with trees and/or shrubs. These elements often form boundaries of plots or are partitions with a different function. Roughly two types can be distinguished: plantings that stand on an artificial earthen waltz (woodwall) and plantings that are at the same height as the surrounding land (woodsingel). Part of the woods from this stock is part of the measuring network, which means that they are monitored every four years. The status of the other woods is unknown.
