Dataset description

The figures presented are based on questions about working conditions in the Permanent Investigation of Living Situation (POLS) of CBS. Questions about working conditions have been included in POLS’ Health module from 1997 to 2004. People belonging to the working population (people aged 15 to 64 who work at least 12 hours of paid weekly work) have been asked questions about working conditions and health problems due to excessive workload. These questions concern approximately 4,000 working persons each year. This StatLine table shows the results on a number of work-related health problems. In the psychological field, these include complaints of unusual fatigue and burnout. On the physical level, attention is focused, among other things, on back and RSI complaints. Figures on reported absenteeism and causes of absenteeism are also presented. In the table, the data can be divided into the following characteristics: — gender, — age class, — highest level of education attained, — professional level, — working time and — industries. Data available from: 1997. For most data, information is available up to the year 2004. For some data, information is available until 2000 or until 2002. Status of the figures: Final Change as of 10 January 2017: Table has been discontinued. Changes compared to the previous version: 7 November 2005 The figures for the year 2004 have been added. When are new figures coming? No longer applicable. This table has been discontinued.
