Young people with youth care and youth care pathways; districts, 2016

This table contains figures on the number of young people who received youth care (youth assistance, youth protection and/or rehabilitation) in 2016 and the number of pathways in which this youth care was provided. The data on young people are divided by age and the composition of the household at the start of care. The youth care programmes are divided by perspective and referrer. The data is also divided by municipality and district. The division by municipality and district is based on the address of the young person’s authority. The principle of residence was based on the principle of residence as applied in the Youth Act, which entered into force from 2015. When the address has changed during the reporting period, the younger person will be assigned the most recent address in this table. In the number of young people, the aggregation of type of youth care can be greater than the (sub)total. A young person may have multiple pathways with different types of youth assistance. Data available for 2016. Figures by municipality and district will appear in a new table each year. Changes as of 1 November 2017: — All figures for 2016 have been replaced by final figures. — From 2016, the subject ‘Judge, Officer of Justice, Judicial Judicial Establishment Officer’ has been added to the subject group ‘Referrer’. — This table has been discontinued. Changes as of 23 June 2017: The preliminary figures for 2016 have been corrected. Due to a technical error, the data of some youth care providers were not properly processed. The impact of this correction on the total number of youth assistance programmes and young people with youth assistance is minimal. The differences are also negligible in most cases when disaggregated by forms of youth assistance and regions. Only in the South Limburg region in the form of ‘nursing care’ and ‘ambulatory assistance in the youth network’ are the effects greater, because the clients of the youth care providers in question live in that region in particular.
