Dataset description

This table provides regional information on the number of young people who have received one or more forms of provincially funded youth care during the year and the corresponding number of days received from youth care. The provincially funded youth care can be divided into forms of youth care provided by the Youth Care Offices and by organisations Youth and Educational Assistance. In this table, young people who have received different forms of youth care during the year are included in each of those forms of youth care. The (sub)totals for all forms of care therefore do not correspond to the sum of the underlying forms of care. Youth care agencies themselves provide specific forms of youth care. In addition, the Youth Care Offices also issue indicative decisions, giving young people access to the youth care provided by Youth and Educational Assistance organisations. Information on indicative decisions is not included in this table. Young people can stay in multiple places during the year, but are assigned to one municipality in this table. The classification by municipality was made on the basis of the young person’s actual residence, based on the renewed residence principle as it will be applied in the Youth Act, which will enter into force from 2015. Data available from: 2011 Status of the figures: The most recent figures in this table are preliminary. When publishing a new year, the figures for the previous year shall be finalised. Changes as of 21 April 2017 Preliminary figures for 2014 have been added. Figures for 2013 have been definitively established. Changes in mental health care have lapsed primary psychological care and second-line mental health care from 2014 onwards and replaced by the generalist basic GGZ and the specialised GGZ. These two forms of care have been newly added to the table. When are new figures coming? There will be no new figures. With effect from the Youth Act as of 1 January 2015, the provincially funded youth care has expired.
