Building on weak soil — Susceptibility

This dataset reflects the setting sensitivity of the soil in North Holland. The set together with three other datasets (reliability TNO maps, holocene thickness and eruption sheet wall) provides the information to determine the suitability of the subsurface for building on weak soil and underground construction and is part of the research report “Suitability maps of the subsurface for building in North Holland”. For the production of the stock, all boreholes available in TNO’s DINO database and maps that can help to limit soil and geological structures have been used within and just outside North Holland.
