Dataset description

This map shows the vulnerability of objects to the most conceivable flood due to breakthroughs by both the primary and regional water systems. The maximum water depth from the maps ‘flood image primary’ and ‘flood image regional’ is compared to the floor level per object. This floor level is derived from the AHN2 and AHN3 (height around the object). If the maximum water depth is higher than the floor level, there is a risk of influx of water, and thus damage into the object. The following class layout is based on the height of the water against the facade of the object in the event of a flood: No water depth against facade (Object is not vulnerable); » Between 0 and 0.2 metres of water depth against facade (Before the water flows in, it must cross the threshold.); » Between 0.2 and 0.5 metres of water depth against facade (plugs are often 30 centimeters above the threshold); » Between 0.5 and 2.0 metres of water depth against facade; » More than 2.0 meters of water depth against facade. The locations of the vulnerable objects are obsolete via the Risk Card and linked to a building. If the location of a vulnerable object could not be linked to a BAG building, a building was searched in a perimeter of 50 meters around the vulnerable object. For vulnerable objects outside these 50 meters, the water depth against facade could not be determined and have the classification: Not vulnerable/other.
