This map shows the result of a stress test for the urban area of South Holland. The map shows where water pollution is likely to occur after an extreme shower of 100 millimetres in 2 hours.
The stress test of the urban area was carried out with 2D terrain models (3Di) built from the filtered and interpolated General Height Map Netherlands (AHN2 and AHN3), information on land use (for friction) and soil (for infiltration).
The resolution of the results is 0.25 m². For the urban area, integrated models have been used for various municipalities in which the sewerage is also included (for this, set the layer of model information and click on the map for additional information).
For buildings (source: Bag) has been adopted in the terrain model a floor level of 15 cm above ground level. The flooding of buildings via thresholds is not taken into account, as detailed information of threshold height is still missing.
