Dataset description

This file contains, in addition to a column with the version number and a column with the date of creation of the file, the following characteristics per sampled sewage treatment plant (RWZI) in the Netherlands: Date of sample, RWZI code, RWZI name, Virus freight per 100,000 inhabitants The file is structured as follows: a sample of the sewage water is taken for 24 hours per treatment plant. These samples are analysed by RIVM researchers for the number of virus particles present. A record for each sampled waste/sewage treatment plant (AWZI/RWZI) shall contain the average number of virus particles in the sewage water, corrected for the daily amount of sewage (flow) and displayed per 100,000 inhabitants. The file will be updated from Monday to Friday (before 14:00). The information on populations per RWZI can be found in a turnover table, which is provided by the Central Bureau for Statistics (CBS). https://www.cbs.nl/nl-nl/maatwerk/2021/06/inwoners-per-rioolwaterzuiveringsinstallatie-1-1-2021 As of 4 March 2021, a number of changes have been made for the following RWZIs. — As of 8 October 2020, RWZI Aalst has been lifted. The associated catchment area has been added to that of RWZI Zaltbommel. The values for the RNA_flow_per_100000 for Zaltbommel have been retroactively changed in the database from 4 March 2021 until the aforementioned withdrawal date. For the values reported before the lifting date, for RWZI Aalst and RWZI Zaltbommel the individual populations that applied for the lifting of RWZI Aalst were used. — As of 9 December 2020, RWZI Lienden was dissolved. The corresponding catchment area has been added to that of RWZI Tiel. The values for RNA_flow_per_100000 for RWZI Tiel have been retroactively changed in the database from 4 March 2021 until the above withdrawal date. For the values reported before the lifting date, for RWZI Lienden and RWZI Tiel, the individual populations that applied for the lifting of RWZI Lienden were used. Changes from 1 January 2021 have been incorporated into the CBS turnover table. As of 30 September 2021, changes to the CBS turnover table will be processed as soon as they become known. As of September 30, the RNA_per_ml column has been removed from the open data file. Values listed in this column were converted into RNA_flow_per_100000 and indicated in that column, as far as possible. In addition, all values have been retroactively recalculated against the population in the CBS table published on 30 September. Description of the variables Version: Version number of the dataset. When the content of the dataset is structurally changed (i.e. not the daily update or a correction at record level), the version number will be adjusted (+ 1) and also the corresponding metadata in RIVMdata (data.rivm.nl). Date_of_report: Date on which the file was created. (format: yyyy-mm-dd) Date_measurement: Date of start of sampling of the 24-hour influent (unpurified waste/sewage) sample (size: yyyy-mm-dd). RWZI_AWZI_code: Code of sewage treatment plant (RWZI) or wastewater treatment plant (AWZI). RWZI_AWZI_name: Name of sewage treatment plant (RWZI) or wastewater treatment plant (AWZI). RNA_flow_per_100000: The average concentration of SARS-CoV-2 RNA, converted into daily amount of sewage (flow rate) and displayed per 100,000 inhabitants.
