Dataset description

Data is not generally available. CC-BY 3.0 license does not concern the metadata Scientific, surveillance research into the naso and oropharyngeal carrier of pneumococcal and meningococcal bacteria for evaluation of pneumococcal and meningococcal vaccination within the RVP (in accordance with the study protocol with ABR no. NL65919.100.18). The OKIDOKI-5 collected in the winter dataset includes data from 331 children (24 months old), 329 parents and 53 brothers/sisters (24 months to 6 years). From these participants, throat, nose (except brothers/sisters) and saliva samples have decreased. A questionnaire has also been conducted (e.g. health, childcare and family size). Bacterial isolates have been identified (including subtyping for pneumococcal and meningococcal). Scientific surveillance research of naso and oropharyngeal carriage of, among others, pneumococcal and meningococcal bacteria for the evaluation of pneumococcal and meningococcal vaccination in the National Immunisation Program (following the research protocol ABR nr NL65919.100.18). The OKIDOKI-5 dataset contains data of 331 children (24-months old), 329 parents and 53 siblings (age 24 months up until 6 years of age). Of these participants nose (excluding siblings), throat and saliva samples are collected. Also questionnaire data (containing health data, daycare and family size). Bacteria isolated are identified (and subtyped in case of pneumococcal and meningococcal bacteria).
