Dataset description
In 1996 an ecotope map was made of the Westerschelde. A salty ecotope map is built by merging several layers of information from the intertidal area: soil height chart (height and depth), geomorphological map, drying time map, flow chart and salt map. The drying period is based on the 1996 soil elevation map and the water levels observed in the period 1993 to 1996. The drying time is calculated using the M2 model.
