Energy generation, limited by cooling capacity surface water

When generating energy and in the industry, there is a high demand for cooling water. This water is often derived from the main water system. After use for cooling the processes in energy generation and industry, the water is discharged back into the main water system. In times of water scarcity, surface water becomes hot faster. In addition, the initial temperature is often higher (due to warm weather). Due to a combination of both of the above factors, the discharge of cooling water is sometimes limited. The locations of the users dependent on cooling water are shown.
