With the interactive archive viewer of the province of South Holland, the collection of glass negatives and historical films from the provincial archive can be viewed, shared and downloaded by everyone.
This collection, from the period 1940-1960, has not been shown on a large scale before. The subjects of the special sculptures range from South Holland landscapes and cityscapes, road construction and Statenmeetings to the restoration work of the Water Emergency Disaster. Together with a number of historical films, the glass negatives form the first selection of material from the provincial archive that is offered as open data. In the long run, the provincial viewer will be supplemented with more digitised provincial photo and film images.
The visual material is offered to you as open data, without (author) legal restrictions. You can also reuse the data. If you have additional information about one or more photos, we would like to receive them. For each photo you can enter text in a comment field.
