Interim Environment Regulation, Urban Area

The Regulation lays down a basic framework for sustainable urban development. The starting point is that first the possibilities in the Stedelijk area will be exploited or the possibilities in vacant or vacant heritage elsewhere in the municipality. Based on the Brabant environmental vision, attention is asked for the challenges of a safe, healthy living environment, energy transition, climate adaptation and a competitive, sustainable economy. Therefore, these aspects have been specifically identified so that they are involved in the development of a plan from the outset. In urban developments, a relationship has also been established with the agreements made in the regional consultation. The Urban Area is updated annually in a map adaptation round based on established and entered into force zoning plans or environmental permits for an urban development. These are added to the urban area, even though they sometimes still need to be developed. In addition, during the year, specific zoning plans that contain a desired development but do not (sufficiently) fall within the contours of the Urban Area will also take place during the year.
