LGN5 (Land use mapping 5)

The LGN5 file is a land-covered grid with a resolution of 25 meters in which 39 forms of land use are distinguished. The stock distinguishes the main agricultural crops, a number of nature classes and urban classes. The file was produced using satellite images of 2004 and 2005 and other relevant spatial information. Land Use Files. LGN1 and LGN2 were still experimental files with limited accuracy and obvious shortcomings. In LGN3, these shortcomings have largely been solved and LGN3plus greatly improved the usability of the stock for applications in the field of nature and ecology. With the LGN4 file, a new step has been taken by extending the application possibilities of the LGN file. Important improvements made to the LGN4 file include linking the agricultural crops to TOP10 vector and the ability to change to detect land use which occurred in the period 1995-2000. The versions 1-3 of the LGN file were supplied as a single raster file. Due to the new features, the LGN5 file, like the LGN4 file, does not consist of a single raster file, but rather forms a collection of files.
