National Monumental Locks and Weirs

The map of National Monumental Locks and Weirs shows water-related works of art that are protected as a national monument. A point location can be a single lock or weir, or a lock and stow complex. Not all works of art are still used as a barrier. The map also contains many (historical) locks and weirs that are part of a defensive work, such as the New Dutch Water Line. The map is based on the Monuments Register managed by the National Cultural Heritage Agency.
