Dataset description

The webmap service Sound maps Rijkswegen shows how much noise the traffic makes on a highway. The service shows both the average daily value and the average sound value of all night periods (23.00 to 7.00 hours) of these years. The map shows all highways managed by Rijkswaterstaat. Sound maps of other roads and other noise sources can be found in provinces and a number of municipalities. By law, these noise tax cards must be developed once every five years.
