Road traffic noise load Lden 2022

On the map you can see the noise load due to road traffic on provincial roads. The noise load is expressed in Lden (Lday-evening-night), the measure for the average noise over a day (and per year). The noise load in the evening and at night is counted much heavier than that of daytime, because the experienced sound is more annoying. The map was created within the framework of the EU Environmental Noise Directive. The noise contours reflect the situation for the 2021 level year, where it should be noted that due to the Corona pandemic in 2020 and 2021 (and therefore less traffic) the 2019 traffic figures were used.
