The Cancer Registry of Norway was established in 1951 and has complete data from 1953 and onwards. The information in the database comes from multiple sources, both in the health care service (pathology, clinicians, radiotherapy equipment and systems for medical administration and treatment) and from other registries (mainly the Cause of Death Registry, the Norwegian Patient Registry and the National Registry).
