Dataset description
The latest data set shows the division into base circuits and sub-areas. Norway is divided into about 15,000 bases, which in turn are grouped to about 1,550 sub-areas. The purpose of dividing the municipality into basic circles is to create small, stable geographical units. The data set contains 8-digit code, level number and name.
The first four digits of the code make up the municipality number.
Sub-areas will have 00 as the last two digits.
The level number has the value 1 for subrange and 2 for base circuit.
