Cultural heritage — Verneworthy dense wooden house environments

The data set covers areas that the Directorate of Cultural Heritage defines as protected dense wooden house environments. Cultural-historically protected dense wooden house environments where special fire protection considerations must be taken. Dense buildings with wooden houses are particularly vulnerable in the event of a fire. We have the largest areas with continuous old wooden houses in cities, for example in Halden city centre, old Stavanger and in large parts of Trondheim. However, dense wooden house environments are also found on larger farmyards, such as Havråtunet in Hordaland, and in old fishing villages, such as Sør-Gjæslingan in Nord-Trøndelag.
