Noise map — strategic noise mapping (Noise Directive)

The data set meets the requirements for reporting in accordance with the EU Noise Directive. The data is collected from the Directorate of Roads, Oslo Municipality and Jernbaneverket. The following are included in the survey — Roads ≥ 3 million vehicle passes per year — Lines ≥ 30,000 trains per year — Airports ≥ 50,000 movements per year [NB data missing for 2017] — Urban areas (aggomerations) ≥ 100 000 inhabitants Urban areas included: — Oslo, with neighbouring municipalities Asker, Bærum, Skedsmo, Lørenskog and Rælingen — Bergen — Stavanger, with neighbouring municipalities Sandnes, Randaberg and Sola — Trondheim — Fredrikstad and Sarpsborg. Data for airports are missing The data is not updated but is regenerated every 5 years
