Dataset description

The data set contains noise zones for the Armed Forces shooting and exercise field, calculated from the guideline for the treatment of noise in area planning, T-1442. The data set must be seen in conjunction with Noise Zones for Heavy Weapons in the Armed Forces shooting and exercise field. The noise zones are intended as an aid in connection with the municipality’s planning and construction work. Red zone indicates areas that are heavily affected by noise, where it is advised not to establish noise-sensitive buildings. Yellow zone indicates areas that are to some extent affected by noise and where the establishment of noise-sensitive buildings may be considered if noise-reducing measures are taken. New noise calculations shall be made every 5 years or if there are changes in the shooting field/shooting path that affect the noise picture.
