Dataset description

The maps provide an overview of zones with potential danger (actience areas) for larger quick clay landslides. The zones have been identified and delimited by quaternary geologic mapping (to identify areas with marine clay), geotechnical assessment of topography and rough geotechnical investigations. The zones include loosening areas for quick clay landslides (sliding out areas) and outlet areas (areas that can be affected by landslides) for new mappings. For identified zones containing only loosening areas, the outlet areas must be assessed separately.\\nde identified quick clay zones are classified into three hazard grade classes (high, medium and low hazard), based on topographic, geotechnical and hydrological criteria. The zones are further classified into three consequential classes (high, medium and low consequential class) depending on the consequences that an avalanche in the zone will have on buildings and infrastructure. The zones are then classified into five risk classes, derived from the hazard grade and impact classification.
