Dataset description

Due diligence areas for snow and rock slides show due diligence areas for the two avalanches. It is usually the avalanche danger that is dimensioning for the extent of the care areas, because it is avalanche that normally has the greatest range. \\N\\nActivities areas in these maps are identified by using inclination maps to find terrain where landslides can be triggered. The discharge areas are calculated using an empirically based model developed by NGI. This work is done manually. Thereafter, the relevant areas have been visited and assessed by avalanche experts, before the boundary for the care areas has been drawn. \\N\\nThe map series covers parts of the country. Only areas that can be reached from the road are experienced, therefore, on each map leaf large areas that are not considered.\\n\nThe stretch of care areas on these maps is usually less than the care areas on the nationally adequate, automatically generated due diligence maps for avalanches, because avalanche skills at inspections and have given the opportunity to take into account local factors that limit avalanche runoffs, such as forests, terrain details and the like. \\N\\nActivities do not include areas that may be prone to southern landslides.
