Content After 1.1.2009: Commercial surveys and the NPD’s surveys that have been reported to the NPD’s reporting system for surveys on the Norwegian continental shelf. The geographic areas shown are planned areas, which do not necessarily correspond to the actual ones. This includes the following types of surveys: Ordinary seismic survey Seabed seismic survey Electromagnetic survey Drilling site survey/site survey Basic surveys For a more detailed explanation see the reporting system under Classification. The surveys may have the following status: During treatment & registered by the responsible company and updated in the NPD’s databases. Awaiting case processing in the NPD, the Directorate of Fisheries, the Armed Forces and the Institute of Marine Research. Planned & case processing completed in the NPD, the Directorate of Fisheries, the Armed Forces and the Institute of Marine Research. Start-up will take place according to the scheduled start date. Ongoing – the investigation is underway. Pause – the survey has for various reasons taken a break, for example due to weather, boat etc. Finished & the survey is completed, and the final notification is sent to the NPD. Canceled & for a number of reasons, the study was never started. Before 1.1.2009: Studies conducted before the NPD’s reporting system was started. Geographical areas are not included and therefore link to maps is not available.
