Dataset description

The Environmental Decision Register is a public register that gives the public free access to individual decisions and regulations in the environmental area. Administrative decisions relating to predatory, area protection, foreign tree species, priority species and selected habitat types are among the decisions to be registered in the Environmental Decision Register, cf. the Regulations of 14 June 2013 No. 643 relating to the Register of Environmental Decisions. The administrative authority that has taken the individual decision is obliged to register the decision in the Register of Environmental Decisions. Individual decisions shall be recorded no later than three working days after the party has been informed of the decision. Registration in the Environmental Decision Register does not replace public authorities’ obligation to announce and notify pursuant to the Public Administration Act, the Nature Diversity Act and other laws. The Norwegian Environment Agency has created a guide for registering decisions in the register and this guide can be found here. In the Environmental Decisions Register’s mapping solution, you can search for individual decisions based on where the decisions are registered. Such location represents the decision and will not necessarily be exact. Decisions will be placed at a representative point and/or in specific municipalities. The Norwegian Environment Agency operates the Environmental Decision Register and provides support. Questions and error messages can be sent by email to [email protected] . Individual decisions pursuant to the Pollution Control Act are not found in the Environmental Decision Register, but are located on Norwegian emissions (www.norskeutslipp.no ).
