The collection contains acoustic maps for agglomerations with a population of more than 100 people. The data shall contain information on areas exposed to a specific noise level caused by air traffic for the LDWN indicator (day, evening and night time noise indicator). The data was compiled by city presidents with a population of more than 100. The data were reported to the European Commission in 2017, in accordance with Directive 2002/49/EC (DF 4 and DF 8) — the Noise Directive. The data submitted to the European Commission were updated in October 2018. The maps are updated every 5 years. LDWN is the long-term average sound level A expressed in decibels (dB), determined in accordance with ISO 1996-2: 1987 in all days per year (understood as a given calendar year for sound emission and average year for meteorological conditions), taking into account the time of day (understood as a time interval from h. 6.00 p.m. 6 p.m.), evening time (understood as a time interval from 1 p.m.) 6:00 p.m. to 6 p.m. 22.00) and the time of night (understood as a time interval from 1 p.m.) 12:00 p.m. 6.00). It is used to determine the nuisance associated with exposure to noise. The data layer shall be representative of the regional annual situation.
